PSPHP releases Recommendations on Community-Based Management of COVID-19
The Philippine Society of Public Health Physicians (PSPHP) and Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes (AIHO), supported by the Foundation For Family Medicine Educators, Inc. (FAMED), are releasing a 4-part Recommendation for Community-Based Management of COVID-19 that can be used by LGUs. The document has been submitted to DOH for adoption.
The objectives of this recommendation are to:
1. Guide LGUs in planning, repurposing an existing structure, and maintaining designated isolation or quarantine units in their localities for PUMs, PUIs, and confirmed COVID-19 patients whose living conditions cannot support home quarantine;
2. Streamline identification, admission, and referral protocols for PUM, PUI and confirmed cases of COVID-19 with mild symptoms and no identifiable comorbidities, in households and communities;
3. Provide general preventive measures for households and communities.

– all that that are preparing, responding, planning to respond to the COVID-19 crisis especially: Local Government Units, Health Authorities, community leaders, CSOs, professional/medial/paramedical societies and other partners
