PSPHP recently announced the election of its officers last July 20, 2024
The Philippine Society of Public Health Physicians (PSPHP) recently announced the election of its officers, who will serve from 2024 to 2027. The PSPHP Board of Trustees held the election among its members during its special meeting on July 20, 2024.
Dr. Anthony Rosendo "Tonyboy" Faraon is elected as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Tonyboy is a health leadership specialist from Zuellig Family Foundation, and presently the head of health committee of the League of Corporate Foundations.
Dr. Juan Alfonso "Johann" Leonardia is elected as Vice-chairperson of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Johann is affiliated with GIZ.
Dr. Michael "Myx" Caampued is again elected as the President of PSPHP. In his second three-year term, he will be in charge of overseeing the operations of the organization, and will be the main officer representing the organization with stakeholders.
Dr. Katherine Ann "Kathy" Reyes will assist Dr. Caampued as the elected Vice-President of the organization. Dr. Reyes is a co-founder, former executive director, and chairperson of Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes (AIHO), and a former board member of Health Systems Global. She is now the program head of Health Promotion Program of the National Institutes of Health in the University of the Philippines - Manila.
Dr. Katrina "Kat" Gomez-Chua will serve as the Secretary of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Gomez-Chua is affiliated with Innovations in Community Health (ICH), and also a consultant in the Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes (AIHO).
Dr. Joey Francis "Joey" Hernandez will again serve another three-year term as the Treasurer of the organization. Dr. Joey is part of IRD International.
