Professional Summary

Dr. Jason Alacapa is a medical and public health professional and innovator with over ten years of experience in health system strengthening, research, and program management. His areas of expertise include the following: tuberculosis, HIV & private sector engagement; implementation science, management & innovation; health economics & financing; digital health & informatics; and real-world evidence.

He has helped secure at least USD 4 million in international funding for various health projects in the Philippines. In addition to doing independent consultancies for local and international agencies, Jason founded four organizations, the foremost of which are the non-profit consulting-social enterprise Innovations for Community Health, focused on systems and market innovations, and the Philippines’ first health technology assessment (HTA)- focused consulting firm, metaHealth.

He is a multi-award-winning youth leader in the Philippines, named one of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (2014) and the Australia Alumni Excellence-Young Achiever Awardee (2019). On the global stage, he is one of the first Obama Asia-Pacific Leaders (2020). He has also received a BMJ Global Health grant (2020), has been named one of Tatler Magazine's Gen.T 400 under 40 Leaders of Tomorrow in Asia (2020), and has been named one of the Boston Congress of Public Health's 40 under 40 (2022).
